Homegrown Revolution is a 16 minute film short that is Jules Dervaes’ directorial debut and was filmed, edited and created by the entire Dervaes Family — in house. Although this short film was intended to aid Jules Dervaes’ presentations in showing the Urban Homestead’s transformation and was not created to be screened as a stand-alone film, it is very rewarding to know that the passion for our work and the dedication we have shines through any technical weaknesses the film has since none of the Dervaes family had any prior filming and editing experience.

Thank you to Susan, Joel and the entire Green Screen & Electric Lodge staff who put on such a wonderful festival and who felt that Homegrown Revolution was deserving of such an award.
